Gevrey-Chambertin – a village in Burgundy's Cote de Nuits district – produces some of the world's most prestigious and expensive red wines.
The village is home to nine Grand Cru vineyards: Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze, Chapelle-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin.
Among the most respected producers of Gevrey-Chambertin wines are Domaine Armand Rousseau, Domaine Fourrier, Domaine Leroy and Domaine Trapet Pere et Fils.
The region’s clay-limestone soils and temperate climate provide ideal conditions for the optimal ripening of the Pinot Noir grape, ensuring the production of wines with both elegance and structure that can age beautifully over time.
