The savennières is a white wine with a controlled designation of origin produced in the communes of Bouchemaine, La Possonnière, and Savennières, on the right bank of the Loire, downstream from Angers. This appellation, neighboring the Coteaux-de-l'aubance and the coteaux-du-layon, is part of the Loire Valley vineyard.
This type of wine can, depending on the year, be kept in the cellar for more than 15 years. It is wonderful to pair with fish or white meats. Its serving temperature is 11°C.
