Located between Margaux and Pauillac, the Saint-Julien appellation, with its area of 900 ha, is the smallest in the Médoc.

Even though the style of the wines varies considerably depending on the châteaux, the common characteristic of these wines is power and concentration. A smooth, harmonious wine with a bouquet of aromas dominated by blueberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, and prune.

The composition of Saint-Julien is very similar to that of Pauillac with cabernet sauvignon, then merlot, and to a lesser extent cabernet franc.

The best vintages of the appellation: 2010, 2009, 2005, 2003, 2000, 1996, 1995, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1986, 1985, 1982, 1962, 1961.
