The first wines bottled and sold by Bruno Giacosa were a Barolo and a Barbaresco 1961, but it was not until 1982 that he acquired his first estate l’Azienda Agricola Falletto.

His most famous wine was his extraordinary first Barbaresco “Santo Stefano di Neive”, made in 1964, from grapes purchased from the sole owner of the nebbiolo vineyard located on this terroir, Castello di Neive.

Some wines produced by Bruno Giacosa:

Barolo “Falletto”: vineyard facing southwest and aged fifteen to twenty years. Maceration for about fifteen days. The wine is aged for thirty months in cask and then eight months in bottles.

Barolo “Rocche del Falletto”: this is actually the best part of the cru Falletto. Vines aged twenty-five to thirty-five years.

Barbaresco “Asili di Barbaresco”: in 1996, Bruno Giacosa purchased a vineyard in the cru Asili.  Vineyard facing south, southwest, aged ten to fifteen years, at an altitude of 250 meters. Clay-limestone soil with a significant percentage of sand.
