Gigondas is an appellation of the Rhône Valley created in 1971. It covers an area of more than 1200 hectares, exclusively in the commune of Gigondas.

The Gigondas appellation produces red and rosé wines (Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette...). The wines of the Gigondas appellation develop aromas of red fruits and black fruits in their youth, before expressing notes of undergrowth and truffles as they age. They are powerful and offer a beautiful range of aromas.
