The absolute icon of Médoc, matured by the Rothschild family and the Perromat team
Undisputed master of Bordeaux, Château Lafite Rothschild belongs to the Rothschild family (Barons de Rothschild). It is currently led by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, and managed daily by Frédéric Engerer (general manager), Régis Camens (technical director), and the oenologist Pierre Perromat. Their collaboration aims to perpetuate the incomparable elegance, finesse, and longevity of the vintage.

Terroir & grape varieties: deep gravel and mastered blends
The estate extends over 112 ha on deep Garonne gravel. The blend is made with rigor: Cabernet Sauvignon (~70%), Merlot (~20%), Cabernet Franc (~8%), Petit Verdot (~2%), for a wine of perfect structure, extreme finesse, and unmatched aging potential.

Viticulture & philosophy: sustainable excellence, parcel precision
Viticulture very respectful of the environment with soil work, selective grassing, high density, and manual harvesting sorted by parcel. The estate also practices modern techniques (optical sorting, micro-vinification) to ensure the highest quality.

Vinification & aging: noble balance between structure and finesse
Vinification by parcels in thermoregulated stainless steel vats, with macerations of 3 to 4 weeks. Aging for 18 to 20 months in French barrels (≈ 80% new), chosen to sculpt silky tannins and support the elegance of the aromas while preserving purity and tension.

Iconic cuvées
Château Lafite Rothschild: iconic grand wine – deep color, refined aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, graphite, violet, and delicate spices; structured palate, fine tannins, saline freshness, and majestic length.
Carruades de Lafite: second wine — elegant, fruity, accessible earlier, while respecting the balance and beauty of the Lafite style.
