The wines of the Loire have such different flavors and textures that it is difficult to find common characteristics for them.


The AOC Vouvray, with its 2,000 hectares, is one of the largest sources of white wines in the Loire. As for the AOC Savennières, it has been compared by Curnonsky to the equivalent of a mythical Montrachet or a Château d'Yquem.
