The great Veronese classics are true natives.
The Soave, made from Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grapes, is usually dry and still, but sparkling or sweet versions (Recioto) are also possible.
The Valpolicella, made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara, ranks fourth among Italian DOCs with over 30 million liters. It is a generous and fruity wine, to be consumed relatively young.
The Valpolicella can also be made with partially dried grapes that produce Amarone della Valpolicella, dry and rich, or Recioto della Valpolicella, opulent and sweet, both suitable for longer aging.
