This appellation mainly produces red wines like the French regions Côte rotie and Margaux.

The climate here is truly continental. The grapes have a nice acidity, the wines are excellent but expensive.

Main grape varieties: Tinto fino (93% of the cultivated area), cabernet sauvignon, nacha (grenache);

Wine style: notes of small red fruits, spices, a touch of smoked meat.

Aging potential: 10 years to 50 years or more depending on vintages and estates
