Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg – Legacy & Precision
Founded in the 1930s in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg is today one of the most respected and sought-after names in Burgundy. After the legacy of Georges Mugneret, his daughters Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée have taken the estate to new heights. Their wines are celebrated for their purity, finesse, and quiet intensity—true reflections of some of the Côte de Nuits’ finest terroirs.
Farming and winemaking
The domaine practices sustainable viticulture, with deep respect for soil life and natural balance. Harvests are manual, fermentations spontaneous, and extractions are gentle and precise. The wines are aged for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels—proportionally new depending on the cuvée—and bottled without fining or filtration, preserving clarity and texture.
House style
Mugneret-Gibourg wines are defined by their aromatic finesse, satin-like textures, and restrained power. Expect red cherry, rose petal, soft spice and earthy undertones, wrapped in a delicate structure with just the right touch of salinity. The mouthfeel is elegant and long, with a strong sense of place and time. These are wines of silence and depth, made for aging and contemplation.
