Château Cheval Blanc – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru d’Exception

Mythical reference of the right bank of Bordeaux, the Château Cheval Blanc is an emblematic estate located in Saint-Émilion. Renowned for the finesse of its wines and the uniqueness of its terroir, it is sought after worldwide by collectors, enlightened amateurs, and grand cru enthusiasts.

An exceptional terroir, a unique signature

The vineyard of Château Cheval Blanc extends over approximately 39 hectares at the crossroads of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. It benefits from a mosaic of rare soils for the region – clays, sands, and gravels – which allow for a unique grape composition: predominantly Cabernet Franc (about 52%), Merlot (43%), and a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon. This unique combination gives the wines a silky texture, a racy tension, and an incredible aromatic complexity.

Rare and timeless wines

The Château produces two cuvées:
Cheval Blanc, the grand wine, with vintages such as 1947, 1982, 2000, 2005, 2009, or 2016 that have become legendary.
Le Petit Cheval, the estate's second wine, more accessible but crafted with the same care.

Each vintage expresses the richness of the terroir and the incomparable expertise of the property, today co-directed by Pierre Lurton.
