A Médoc myth at the pinnacle of rigor and longevity

Symbol of Bordeaux excellence, Château Latour dominates the Pauillac vineyard with the racy power of its wines and its constant commitment to precision viticulture. Since the 1990s, the estate has belonged to the Artémis group (Pinault family). It is managed with high standards by Frédéric Engerer (CEO) and Hélène Génin (technical director), surrounded by a rigorous team dedicated to the excellence of the Enclos terroir.

Terroir & grape varieties

The vineyard covers approximately 78 hectares, including 47 hectares of Enclos, a historic terroir reserved for the Grand Vin. This plateau of deep gravel rests on clay-limestone subsoils, ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, which dominates the grape varieties (75–80%), with Merlot (15–20%) and a touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

Philosophy & winemaking

Château Latour adopts demanding sustainable viticulture and ultra-parcelled winemaking. The sorting is rigorous, the work in the vat precise, and the aging long (up to 20 months), exclusively in new barrels for the Grand Vin. This approach aims for purity, concentration, and exceptional aging potential. Les Forts de Latour and Pauillac de Latour complete the range with equally meticulous care.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château Latour: the Grand Vin, produced exclusively from the Enclos, combines concentration, tension, noble tannins, and mineral depth.

  • Les Forts de Latour: a powerful and straight second wine, with pure fruit and a firm structure.

  • Pauillac de Latour: an accessible third wine, expressing the precision and freshness of the Latour style.
