Brunello di Montalcino is a red wine DOCG from Italy, produced exclusively in the Montalcino region, located in the province of Siena, in Tuscany. This grand cru is made from the Sangiovese Grosso grape variety, a type of Sangiovese, which gives the wine great richness and complexity.

The first vintage of Brunello di Montalcino dates back to 1888, and it has become one of the most prestigious wines in Italy. According to regulations, it must age for at least five years before being sold, and the Riserva, even longer, for seven years. This aging must include two years in oak barrels and several months in bottle, allowing the wine to develop its full depth and aromatic complexity.

Brunello di Montalcino wines evolve beautifully with age. It is recommended to enjoy them from ten years onwards, although some vintages can be kept for up to thirty years or more, depending on the producer and storage conditions. As it ages, Brunello develops aromas of red and black fruits, tobacco, leather, and earth, creating a complex bouquet that transforms harmoniously over the years.

This wine is particularly suited to meat dishes such as roasted red meats, game, or even aged cheeses. Its tannic structure and freshness make it an ideal companion for dishes with rich and robust flavors. Due to its power and aging potential, Brunello di Montalcino is often compared to the world's greatest wines and is considered one of the best examples of age-worthy wine in Tuscany.

Brunello di Montalcino is a high-quality wine that embodies the unique terroir of Montalcino and the expertise of Tuscan winemakers, offering wine enthusiasts an unforgettable tasting experience. Its ability to improve over time makes it a perfect choice for collectors and prestigious wine lovers.
