"A top note of herbal tea is present on the earthy and markedly sauvage-inflected aromas of red and dark currant with a smoky nuance. The denser if less refined medium weight plus flavors exhibit a taut muscularity along with focused powerful on the sappy, serious, youthfully austere and impressively long finish where the only reproach is a touch of warmth. This is always one of Taupenot's best wines, certainly among the 1ers, and 2019 is no different. "
