"Blending Blaufränkisch and Merlot cultivated on calcareous sandy, clayey, silty and gravelly soils, Heinrich's single vineyard bottling 2013 Salzberg opens with a ripe, elegant, still a bit reductive but pretty intense, fresh and spicy flavored bouquet that indicates both purity and complexity. Full-bodied, intense and concentrated on the palate, with pure, ripe and pithy fruit, firm tannins and a coolish silky texture, this is a powerful, well structured and persistent red wine with good grip, nice austerity and excellent aging potential.
