Château d'Yquem 1942
Château d'Yquem 1942
"Fabulous bouquet of fruits and flowers. A very long finish. Smooth, lively wine, with a hint of candied orange peel."
"The dry and icy weather characterizes this vintage; a deluge falls on the vineyard in mid-September, just in time to trigger the Botrytis and contaminate the harvest. This is followed by 4 weeks without a drop, allowing for a very compact harvest. A vintage very concentrated in sugars, very pure as well, symbolizing one of the coldest and driest years ever known."
