Château Haut Brion 1987
Château Haut Brion 1987
"The 1987 has been delightful since bottling, presenting an earthy, dramatic, flambé in leather, sweet tobacco, and cassis, blackberry-scented nose. Although not a blockbuster, it offers a medium-bodied, generous, soft, rich fruity taste, as well as a seductive personality. This fragrant, round, elegant, and delicious Haut-Brion has been fully mature since the early nineties, but shows no signs of fading. However, owners should not push their luck further. Oh, how I wish I had bought more of this wine, given the low price for which it once sold."
