Château Margaux 2001
Château Margaux 2001
"Le Château Margaux 2001 clearly confirms its status as a very fine vintage. It actually reminds us of the 99, both by its great aromatic finesse and its tannic texture so tender and harmonious. Can we find fault with the lively pleasure we already experience in drinking these 2 wines?
We are convinced that this early harmony, an unadorned legacy of perfect grape maturity, promises us many years of happiness... One can therefore drink 2001 quite early if one appreciates the freshness and purity of the fruit – and why deprive oneself? – or in 15 or 20 years, depending on whether one prefers to wait for the finesse of the aging bouquet to develop. Only the balance will not change. (October 2018)"
