This Margaux is perhaps the pinnacle, a heavenly depth of graphite and ripe black fruits touched by cedar, but not overly ripe, the lightest nuances of game and vanilla, and just a magnificent ethereal scent of Margaux. On the palate, the tannins are now resolved of course, but the fine and supple nature is beautiful and the fresh acidity gives it an alert and still energetic character at 33 years old. Magnificent fruit, once again just touched by cedar and game on the palate, but a depth of cassis and edged with notes of black plum and bittersweet chocolate. (...) "
