Château Mouton Rothschild 1980
Château Mouton Rothschild 1980
"It all begins with a more intense and evolved color with vermilion reflections. The nose remains discreet but fine. It is a true bouquet of aging with notes of cedar and cigar, very pleasant without being complex. How to achieve this in such a small year? I like the palate for its mellow character and aromatic notes, where fruit and more vegetal notes mingle. Curiously, this wine is more about aromas than structure. It lingers with a taste of cedar and blackcurrant, with a somewhat austere tannic grain. Nobility emerges. A performance for a small vintage."
