To the north of the Côte de Beaune, the Corton hill brings together two appellations: corton-charlemagne for white wines and Corton for red wines.


Made from the Pinot Noir grape variety, Corton has a bouquet of more or less stewed red fruits. When mature, it has aromas of truffles and leather.


The Corton Le Clos du Roi is at the heart of the appellation. Ideally located, it is undoubtedly the most accomplished of the Cortons.


The Corton Charlemagne has a rather pronounced golden color, even when young. Its aromatic power is remarkable. Its typicity is characterized by scents of cinnamon, fresh walnut, pepper, and exotic fruits.
