Alsace wines, more than 90% of which are whites, are renowned for their diversity and ability to express the full richness of the Alsatian terroir. The region benefits from an ideal climate for cultivating exceptional grape varieties, which produce wines with intense and refined aromas.

Among the flagship grape varieties of Alsace, we find:

  • Riesling: considered the king grape variety, it produces lively, racy, and mineral wines, with aromas of lemon, honeysuckle, and great freshness.
  • Gewurztraminer: this grape variety gives full-bodied and expressive wines, with complex aromas of rose, spices, and exotic fruits.
  • Pinot Gris: it offers round, structured, and often richer wines, with fruity flavors and a lovely balance.
  • Sylvaner: a grape variety that produces light, fresh, and delicate wines, with floral notes of acacia and a beautiful liveliness.

In addition to dry wines, Alsace also produces exceptional sweet wines, such as Vendanges Tardives (VT) and Sélections de Grains Nobles (SGN). These rich and concentrated wines rival the greatest sweet wines in the world and can age spectacularly, sometimes for more than 50 years.

Alsace wines are distinguished by their ability to combine complexity and elegance, offering a wide range of flavors that wonderfully accompany a variety of dishes, from the simplest to the most refined.
