Grand Cru Classé de Graves since 1953, Château Latour-Martillac stands out with a strong identity and a timeless style, at the crossroads of Bordeaux precision and the mineral drive of its terroirs. Located in Martillac, south of Bordeaux, the estate has belonged to the Kressmann family since the 19th century, true guardians of its spirit and consistency.

An emblematic château with a prestigious past

It was in 1871 that Édouard Kressmann, a visionary wine merchant, fell under the charm of this property, captivated by its terroir and potential. His son Alfred brought the château into modernity and gave it its noble reputation. Today, Tristan and Loïc Kressmann continue this legacy with passion and precision.

A unique terroir of Graves

The vineyard rests on a ridge of Günzian gravel, mixing pebbles, sand, and clay, conducive to perfect ripeness of red grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot) as well as whites (Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon). The ideal exposure and soil diversity give rise to complex, balanced wines deeply connected to their terroir.

An elegant, harmonious, and always precise style

The red of Latour-Martillac is a distinguished wine with a classic architecture: beautiful tannic structure, underlying freshness, black fruits, notes of blond tobacco, and a subtle spicy touch.
The white, on the other hand, charms with its aromatic purity and mineral tension – a great dry white wine from Bordeaux that is both refined and vibrant.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château Latour-Martillac red – Grand Cru Classé: balance, structure, and remarkable aging potential.

  • Château Latour-Martillac white – Grand Cru Classé: brilliance, freshness, floral intensity, and great minerality.

  • Lagrave-Martillac (second wine): immediate charm, suppleness, crunchy fruit.

A philosophy of rigor and respect

The estate practices sustainable viticulture, with meticulous care given to each plot. The sorting is rigorous, the vinification is parcel-based, and the aging is careful – all contributing to reveal the truest expression of the vintage and the place.
