Founded in 1983 in Losone, at the heart of the Canton of Ticino, the house of Angelo Delea is today a true reference for Merlot in Italian Switzerland. Combining artisanal sensitivity and technical mastery, the estate embodies a contemporary and ambitious vision of Ticino wine, while maintaining a deep-rooted connection to the local culture.
At the head of the family business, Angelo Delea is joined by his sons David and Cesare, who continue the work with passion, demanding expressive, sincere, and refined wines.
A southern terroir with alpine influences
Ticino, located between lakes, mountains, and chestnut forests, benefits from a temperate and sunny climate, but also from a profound alpine influence, which brings freshness and complexity to the wines. The soils are varied: granite, sandy-loam, or gravelly, depending on the plots, offering Merlot a remarkable diversity of expressions.
The vines are cultivated on terraces, with a sustainable approach, respectful of the environment and the typicity of each locality.
A precise, elegant, and structured style
At Angelo Delea, the style of the wines is characterized by tannic elegance, aromatic depth, and mineral tension. Merlot, the king grape of Ticino, is vinified with care to express both the Mediterranean generosity and the alpine freshness of the region.
The reds are deep, ripe but never heavy; the whites precise and flavorful; the sparkling wines and spirits, always of great purity of execution.

Iconic cuvées
Carato Riserva: Noble Merlot, aged 16 months in barrels. Concentrated, silky, long, with great aging potential.
Carato Bianco: Structured white from Chardonnay and Sauvignon, partially vinified in barrels. Complexity and finesse.
Diamante: Vintage sparkling wine made using the traditional method, pure Chardonnay. Fine bubbles and aromatic brilliance.
Apocalisse: Confidential and powerful cuvée, 100% Merlot from parcel selection.
