Château Figeac – Saint-Émilion
A Premier Grand Cru Classé A with a unique signature, combining power and refinement.
A great historical name of Bordeaux
Located to the west of Saint-Émilion, Château Figeac is one of the most emblematic estates of the right bank. Its origins date back to the Gallo-Roman era, but since 1892, the Manoncourt family has been overseeing this exceptional vineyard.
In 2022, the estate joined the very exclusive circle of Premiers Grands Crus Classés A, a recognition of its excellence and consistency.
A rare terroir for the right bank
Figeac rests on a terroir of deep gravel, more typical of the Médoc than of Saint-Émilion.
This soil favors an unusual grape composition in the appellation:
Cabernet Sauvignon (35%)
Cabernet Franc (35%)
Merlot (30%)
This structure gives the wines a straight frame, great freshness, and remarkable aging potential.
Wine style
Elegant, racy, complex. Château Figeac charms with its notes of black fruits, violet, graphite, and cedar.
On the palate: fine tannins, superb balance, long and mineral finish.
A wine for lovers of finely crafted great Bordeaux, both serious and soulful.
Vintages to watch
2016
Finesse, precision, balance. A classic with very long aging potential.
2018
Generous, silky, powerful yet straight. Great potential.
2020
Vibrant, pure, energetic. Saline finish. A modern success.
