Established for seven generations in Meursault, the Michel Bouzereau et Fils estate is now managed by Jean-Baptiste, who succeeded his father Michel in 1999. Renowned for its expertise, the estate owns prestigious plots in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Beaune, and Pommard, cultivated with a biological/biodynamic commitment without certification.

Philosophy & winemaking

The vineyard has been managed organically since 2005, with practices leaning towards biodynamics. Harvesting is done manually, fermentations occur with indigenous yeasts (stainless steel tank or barrels), followed by long aging on lees in barrels (6–18 months depending on the cuvées). The wines are neither fined nor filtered, with minimal addition of SO₂, and lunar cycles guide the winemaking.

Iconic cuvées

  • Bourgogne Côte d’Or Chardonnay: blend of Meursault + Puligny, fresh, mineral, lightly oaked.

  • Meursault Villages & Premiers Crus (Le Tessons, Genevrières, Blagny…): rich, balanced, with tension and complexity.

  • Pinot Noir (Beaune Les Vignes Franches, Pommard Les Cras…): elegant, precise, fine expression of the terroir.

Wine style

Bouzereau wines combine purity, finesse, and depth. The whites reveal floral, fruity aromas and a beautiful salinity; the reds, cherry and undergrowth notes. All display a vibrant texture, beautiful freshness, and a generous aging potential.
