Created in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto in Alba, the house experienced a real boom under the impetus of his sons Bruno and Marcello. Visionaries, they adopted a parcel-based approach very early on in the great crus of Barolo and Barbaresco. Today, the third generation — Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro, and Federico — continues the family legacy with a resolutely contemporary vision: organic farming, iconic architecture, and constant dialogue between wine, nature, and art.

Philosophy & viticulture

The estate cultivates a demand for purity: low yields, indigenous fermentations, measured use of wood, and organic certification. The goal is to respect the identity of the crus while offering accessible and sincere wines. The Ceretto style is based on a quest for elegance, readability of the terroir, and aromatic finesse.

Terroirs & vineyards

Ceretto operates more than 120 hectares in the Langhe, including superb plots in the most renowned crus: Bricco Asili (Barbaresco), Bricco Rocche, Brunate, Prapò (Barolo), and Monsordo Bernardina (Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis). Each vineyard is vinified separately to express its uniqueness.

Iconic cuvées

  • Barbaresco Bricco Asili: floral delicacy and depth.

  • Barolo Bricco Rocche: mineral nobility and racy length.

  • Barolo Brunate / Prapò: structure and intensity.

  • Arneis Blangé: iconic white of Piedmont, fresh and expressive.

  • Monsordo Rosso: modern blend, fruity and balanced.

Wine style

Ceretto wines are distinguished by their natural elegance, balance, and ability to age gracefully. Nebbiolo is expressed with brilliance and precision, all in a refined aesthetic that reflects the family philosophy: excellence, transparency, and the culture of beauty.
