Founded in 2013 by Bart and Daphne Araujo, iconic figures of Californian wine, Accendo Cellars embodies a new vision of Napa Valley: one of contained grandeur, a balance between power and finesse, in the purest tradition of great wines.

After elevating Araujo Estate (now Eisele Vineyard) to the pinnacle of Napa wines, the Araujos wanted to return to the very essence of what drives them: creating a wine inspired by the great Bordeaux, racy, elegant, capable of aging gracefully.

Exceptional Terroirs & Parcel Precision

Accendo Cellars works with a rigorous selection of parcels located in the coolest and most noble areas of Napa, notably in Oakville, Yountville, and St. Helena. These sites allow for slow ripening, complex aromatic profiles, and preserved natural acidity.

Style & Philosophy

The Accendo style is Californian elegance, influenced by Bordeaux balance. The wines are structured but never massive, always carried by a vibrant freshness, fine tannins, and a pure expression of fruit. The philosophy is guided by the transparency of the terroir, the pursuit of harmony, and the respect for time.

Iconic Cuvées

  • Accendo Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: signature wine, composed of the best parcels, aged for a long time in French oak barrels. A wine of great depth, combining blackcurrant, graphite, blond tobacco, and mineral tension.

  • Accendo Sauvignon Blanc: a rarity in Napa, this chiseled and vibrant white is made from three different clones, vinified with precision to offer purity, breadth, and freshness.

Vinification & Expertise

The cellar master Nigel Kinsman, formerly of Araujo Estate, orchestrates parcel and gentle vinifications, with extreme attention to extraction and balance. The aging is done in high-quality French oak barrels, with a precise dosage of new wood. The wines are neither filtered nor fined, to preserve their integrity and aging potential.

Accendo Cellars is the art of reviving a forgotten style of Napa, at the crossroads of classicism and modern demand.
