Philosophy & Winemaking
The focus is on quality at every stage: low yields, manual harvesting, meticulous sorting, slow fermentations, and aging in selected barrels. The cuvées "The O.G.", "The Grand Daddy", "The Three Kings" come from key blocks and are designed to last several decades.
Iconic Cuvées
“Carter” Cabernet Sauvignon (single vineyard or blend): powerful profile, dark fruits, noble tannins, structured acidity.
The O.G. (Beckstoffer To Kalon): powerful terroir, great aging potential.
The Grand Daddy: fleshy, generous, and full of energy.
The Three Kings: the most opulent, concentrated, and charming.
Weitz, Las Piedras, Hossfeld Coliseum, Coliseum Block: other remarkable terroirs, each with its distinct character of fruitiness, density, or finesse.
Wine Style
Carter Cellars wines are rich, structured, deep cabernets, with tannic elegance and a fruity brilliance. They combine concentration and precision, while being suitable for long aging (20‑30 years). Each cuvée highlights the specificity of its terroir and the year, offering a refined and powerful tasting journey.
