A small artisanal domain revealing the profound finesse of Pomerol
Founded in 1993 by the Despagne-Rapin family and taken over in 2008 by François Despagne, the seventh generation of the clan, Château Le Chemin spans approximately 1 hectare of fine gravel; a small single-plot vineyard of Merlot, in the heart of the great terroirs of Pomerol. François has crafted a delicate, precise, and distinguished style, with manual harvesting, parcel-based vinification (pump-overs, rack and return, punching down), and aging in new barrels, for a silky and saline wine with ripe tannins.
