Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2010

"Smith Haut Lafitte red 2010 is dense red, deep almost black. The first nose exhales a basket of fresh red fruits, black fruits and spices, warm herbs. Upon swirling, the nose takes on its full breadth, wide, magnificent with black fruit, licorice, clove, pencil lead, … The entry on the palate is firm and straightforward; the wine is massive, without austerity, its power then expresses itself in a broad and long mouth, well wrapped by tannins whose texture is silky. There is great precision in the mouth texture, thanks to well-matured tannins and good management of extractions and macerations. The wine is chiseled in its structural and aromatic definition. The mouth then distills at length the aromas of black fruit, red fruit, licorice, then deeper notes of warm stones, warm earth."
