Domaine des Landions – A Discreet Jewel of the Jura

Micro-Estate of Passion at Altitude

The Domaine des Landions is a small family structure located on the heights of Salins-les-Bains, in the Jura. Founded by Nicolas Jacob, a former agronomist turned winemaker after training in Beaune and internships with natural winemakers, the estate today has barely 2 hectares in production.

Situated at nearly 400 m altitude, the vineyard benefits from a cool climate and marl-limestone soils. The approach is artisanal, certified organic, and focused on low-intervention winemaking.

Grape Varieties & Parcel Approach

The estate primarily cultivates Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a few rows of Poulsard. Each parcel is vinified separately, often in whole clusters for reds, or direct pressing for whites. Fermentations are natural, without additives or yeasts, and the aging is done in old barrels for 12 to 18 months.

Identity Wines, Vibrant & Precise

The style of the estate is distinguished by a crystalline purity, a beautiful mineral tension, and sober yet deep aromatic expressions. The whites present saline and chiseled profiles, while the reds, often infused, evoke cherry, sweet spices, and a noble vegetal touch.

Cuvées & Remarkable Profiles

  • Landions Chardonnay: mineral purity, long aging, great aging potential.

  • Landions Pinot Noir: sour cherry nose, delicate texture, saline finish.

  • Confidential Parcels: micro-cuvées per vintage according to the winemaker's inspiration.
