Domaine Gangloff – Family Excellence at the Heart of the Côte de Nuits
The Domaine Gangloff is a family-owned estate founded at the beginning of the 20th century, located in the prestigious Côte de Nuits region in Burgundy. Today, it is David Gangloff and his sister Claire who continue the family tradition with passion and rigor. The estate covers about 11 hectares, mainly in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, on varied terroirs ranging from villages to premier crus.
The vines are old, often planted on clay-limestone soils typical of the region, which gives the grapes exceptional concentration and complexity. Viticulture is conducted with care, limiting the use of chemicals and promoting biodiversity.
Vinification is carried out traditionally with perfect control of temperatures and maceration times, which vary according to the cuvées. Fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks or barrels, always with indigenous yeasts, and the red wines benefit from aging in oak barrels, often between 12 and 18 months, to refine the tannins and develop aromatic complexity without masking the fruit.
The wines of Domaine Gangloff are recognized for their elegance, tannic finesse, and aging potential. The whites are distinguished by their freshness and minerality, while the reds reveal great depth, red fruit aromas, and a silky structure.
