A refined grand cru under the vision of a prestigious family group
Owned by the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1962, Château Duhart-Milon is currently managed by Alexis Teissedre, general manager, and Nicolas Audebert, a renowned oenologist. Together, they cultivate a balance between classic terroir and affirmed modernity, in a discreet but noble continuation of Rothschild expertise.

Terroir & grape varieties: Garonne gravel and Pauillac blend
The 75 ha of vines rest on the fine gravel of Pauillac, well-drained and ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (~65%), Merlot (~30%), with a touch of Petit Verdot (~5%). The average age of the vines is about 30 years.

Viticulture & philosophy: rigor and integration
Sustainable viticulture, controlled grass cover, manual harvesting with rigorous sorting of whole grapes. The estate adopts a responsible approach, combining tradition with measured innovations: cold climate in vats, micro-vinification of all plots.

Vinification & aging: woody harmony and freshness
Vinifications are carried out in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, with long macerations (3–4 weeks) and moderate punch-downs. Aging for 16 to 18 months in French barrels (≈50% new), aiming to preserve the fruity expression, tannic finesse, and typicity of the terroir.

Iconic cuvées
Château Duhart-Milon (Grand Vin): structured red, notes of blackcurrant, cedar, blond tobacco, silky texture, and saline finish.
Pavillon Milon: more accessible second wine, fruity, supple, and convivial.
Duhart-Milon Blanc (rare): small dry white produced/in experimentation, composed of Sauvignon Blanc & Sémillon—fresh, lively, floral—demonstrating the emerging creativity of the estate.
