A Family and Artisan Adventure
Founded in 1987 by Cathy Corison in Saint‑Helena, this small family-run estate, alongside her husband William Martin, is dedicated exclusively to Cabernet Sauvignon, rigorously cultivated on noble benchland plots.
An Exceptional Terroir
The grapes come from three vineyards: two owned (Kronos and Sunbasket) and a third locally selected. The well-drained alluvial soils between Rutherford and St‑Helena promote concentrated clusters, ripened with balance.
Style: Measured Power, Freshness, Longevity
The cuvées are characterized by their lively acidity, silky tannins, and aromas of blackcurrant, violet, and flint. Refined wines under 14% alcohol, capable of revealing themselves in their youth or flourishing over several decades.
Flagship Cuvées
Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: a blend of three benchlands, reflecting the entire appellation.
Kronos Vineyard Cabernet: from vines planted in 1971 on phylloxera-resistant rootstock.
Sunbasket Vineyard Cabernet: acquired in 2015, certified organic, lively and aromatic variety.
Corazón: niche wines, including a Cabernet rosé and a Gewürztraminer from Anderson Valley.
Philosophy: Sobriety, Respect for the Fruit, Transmission
Vines worked according to organic principles, long fermentations, aged for 20 months in small French barrels. A respectful approach to the terroir, intergenerational proximity (their daughters work there), and a sustainable method (Napa Green certified vineyard, sheep grazing).
