A Barsac reference carried by the Dubourdieu family
Château Doisy‑Daëne is a historic estate in Barsac, classified as 2nd Cru in 1855. Owned by the Dubourdieu family since 1924, it is now managed by Jean‑Jacques and Fabrice Dubourdieu, sons of the late Denis Dubourdieu, a visionary winemaker and oenologist. The estate embodies both the traditional elegance of Barsac sweet wines and a modernity asserted in its dry whites.

Terroir & grape varieties: limestone freshness and aromatic complexity
The vineyard extends over 18 hectares of clay-limestone soil typical of Barsac, favorable to concentration and finesse. The grape composition is based on 86% Sémillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc. The local climate allows optimal development of botrytis cinerea, essential for the production of great sweet wines.

Viticulture & philosophy: meticulous selection and low intervention
Viticulture is conducted with constant precision: soil work, natural grassing, exclusively manual harvesting in several passes to pick only perfectly ripe grapes. The estate aims to produce wines of emotion, structured yet airy.

Vinification & aging: mastery and subtlety
Fermentations are carried out in French oak barrels, with aging of 10 months for dry wines, and up to 18 months for sweet wines. Each cuvée is vinified separately, according to the plot origin and level of concentration. The aging preserves the freshness of the fruit, the mineral straightness of the terroir, and the floral signature of the estate.

Iconic cuvées
Château Doisy‑Daëne (sweet): Classic Barsac, aromatic and luminous, with notes of white peach, candied orange zest, honey, and ginger.
Grand Vin Sec de Doisy‑Daëne: 100% Sauvignon Blanc, partial barrel aging. Fresh, mineral, citrus and white flowers, with a rare aging potential for a dry white from Barsac.
L’Extravagant de Doisy‑Daëne: produced only in exceptional years. Intense, concentrated, ultra-rare sweet wine. Explosion of exotic fruits, saffron, and citrus liqueur, in an almost crystalline texture.
