The Provençal Elegance in the Service of Rosé
Located on a clay-limestone terroir, Château de la Fonvieille is a classified vintage expert in the art of rosé wines. Combining Provençal tradition and modern expertise, the estate embodies the freshness, minerality, and typicity of the appellation, in a refined Mediterranean expression.
Terroir & Grape Varieties: Alliance of Freshness and Roundness
The vineyard, planted on a soil mixing clay, limestone, and pebbles, offers a grape variety dominated by Cinsault and Grenache (60%), complemented by Cœur de Raisin, Syrah, and Rolle (40%). The vines, averaging 30 years old, benefit from an ideal exposure and a temperate maritime microclimate.
Viticulture & Philosophy: Authenticity and Precision
Reasoned closure, manual harvesting in the morning, rigorous sorting at the plot. Cold vinifications in white and rosé, with direct pressing, slow fermentation in thermo-regulated tanks, aging on fine lees to preserve freshness and texture.
Vinification & Aging: Purity and Balance
Each batch is vinified separately to preserve the expression of the blend. Aging on fine lees for 6 months, without fining or filtration, ensuring elegance and length on the palate.
Iconic Cuvées
Château de la Fonvieille Rosé: pale rosé, aromas of wild strawberry, white peach, garrigue herbs. Fresh, saline, and gourmet palate.
La Féline: fleshy and elegant red wine, more concentrated, notes of black fruits and spices.
Blanc de la Fonvieille: rare, fresh, and floral, based on Rolle, with citrus and minerality.
