Elio Grasso — Classic Elegance from Barolo

Nestled in the hills of Monforte d’Alba, Elio Grasso is a family-run estate known for crafting pure, structured wines that honor the tradition and land of Barolo. Since the 1970s, the Grasso family has devoted itself to showcasing their estate’s exceptional vineyards.

Philosophy and Production

The estate farms its own 18 hectares of vines, mainly in the Ginestra and Gavarini crus. No grapes are purchased — all wines are estate-grown and vinified with a commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.

A mix of large casks and barriques is used for aging, always respecting the character of Nebbiolo and enhancing its natural structure.

Wine Style

Elio Grasso’s wines are known for elegance, structure, and aromatic precision. Nebbiolo shows notes of cherry, rose, tobacco, and licorice, with freshness and refined tannins.

Each cuvée is a faithful expression of terroir, combining power, balance, and aging potential.

Signature Wines

Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté – Deep, intense, and long on the palate.
Barolo Gavarini Chiniera – Elegant, fresh, and mineral-driven.
Langhe Nebbiolo – Expressive and approachable, a great introduction.
Dolcetto & Barbera d’Alba – Joyful, fruit-forward, and balanced wines.

A Family and Its Land

Elio Grasso reflects the harmony of precision, passion, and deep respect for Monforte’s terroir. A benchmark for classic, unadorned Barolo.
