Domaine Cornu – Between Côte de Nuits & Beaune, a domain of character

Four generations loyal to the same village

In Magny-lès-Villers (between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Beaune), the Cornu family has been cultivating vines for four generations. Today, Alexandre manages the vineyard and winemaking, while Isabelle oversees administration and marketing, continuing the work of Colette and Claude Cornu .

A diversified vineyard of 20 ha

The estate spans approximately 20 hectares, divided into 14 appellations covering Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune (Whites, Reds, Crémants). The terroirs include Ladoix, Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Corton, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and de Beaune, Côte de Nuits-Villages .

Respectful viticulture & reasoned cultivation

The vines are worked using environmentally friendly methods: organic amendments, reasoned pest control, mechanical soil work, manual harvesting .

Traditional winemaking & modulated aging

The wines are traditionally vinified, with controlled fermentations and aging in oak barrels (moderated according to the cuvée). Two Crémants (White & Rosé) complete the range .

Signature style: pure expression & varied terroirs

The reds, made from Pinot Noir, offer fruit, balance, tannic finesse, sometimes power in selections (Corton). The whites, based on Chardonnay or Aligoté, are fresh, mineral, and easy to drink. The Crémants bring a festive and elegant touch ().

Iconic cuvées & key figures

  • Corton Grand Cru: charms with its structure, aging potential, and complexity

  • Ladoix-Le Bois Roussot 1er Cru: tradition and finesse, a favorite among enthusiasts

  • Savigny-lès-Beaune Villages: rich fruit and accessible style, always well-positioned

  • Aloxe-Corton & Pernand-Vergelesses: complementary blends to broaden the palette

  • Crémant de Bourgogne (White & Rosé): fine bubbles, controlled fermentations, aperitif & conviviality wines

Transmission & commitment

Alexandre Cornu embodies continuity and the spirit of creativity, supported by Isabelle. The passing of the torch opens up to the future while respecting traditions & terroirs
