Domaine Drouhin-Laroze – Heirs of a Grand Cru Heritage in Gevrey-Chambertin
A Family History Since 1850
Founded in 1850, the Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is now managed by Philippe Drouhin, 6th generation, accompanied by his children Nicolas and Caroline Drouhin. The union of the Drouhin and Laroze families has allowed the establishment of a prestigious wine heritage in Côte de Nuits.
An Exceptional Terroir, at the Heart of the Crus
The estate operates 11.5 ha of vineyards, including an exceptional collection of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, mainly located in Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. Among the jewels:
Chambertin Clos de Bèze
Latricières-Chambertin
Bonnes-Mares
Musigny (since 2017 under lease)
Clos de Vougeot
Chapelle-Chambertin
Gevrey 1er Cru Clos Prieur & Lavaux Saint-Jacques
The vines are cultivated using sustainable practices, with particular care given to respecting each climate.
Precise Vinification, Respectful of the Grapes
The grapes are harvested by hand, meticulously sorted, partially destemmed depending on the cuvées, then vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. The aging is done in oak barrels (up to 80% new for the grands crus), over 14 to 18 months.
Stylistic Signature
The wines of Drouhin-Laroze are distinguished by their balance between power and elegance. They feature aromas of dark fruits, chiseled tannins, constant freshness, and a very good aging potential. The style has been oriented towards more finesse and precision since the arrival of Nicolas and Caroline.
