Located in Arcins, on the Médoc wine route, Château Arnauld traces its origins back to the 17th century, but it is in recent decades that it has undergone a true metamorphosis. Long discreet, the estate has established itself among the most ambitious outsiders of the Haut-Médoc, driven by a modern and qualitative vision of wine.
Since 2007, under the impetus of the MACSF mutual group, Château Arnauld has benefited from significant resources and a strategy focused on excellence, akin to a classified growth.
The vineyard spans 17 hectares of deep gravel, adjoining the lands of Margaux. The planting is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, accompanied by Merlot and Petit Verdot. These warm and well-drained soils allow for optimal ripeness of the grapes.
The technical direction is led by the oenologist Jean-Michel Garcion, known for his rigor and demand in the pursuit of elegance and finesse. The Arnauld style combines the power of the Médoc with precise extraction and perfectly controlled aging, often in new barrels at 50–70%.
Château Arnauld (Haut-Médoc): a deep, structured wine with a fine tannic framework and great aging potential. It regularly competes with neighboring classified growths, particularly in vintages like 2009, 2010, 2016, or 2018.
