A family estate rooted in modern Médoc tradition
Château Larose Trintaudon belongs to the Lapeyre-Montalivet family, currently operated by Hélène Lapeyre-Montalivet, supported by Julien Dufréchou, technical director, and the oenologist Marie Péloquin. The estate cultivates a style that is both classic and contemporary, combining rigor and elegance.

Terroir & grape varieties

The vineyard extends over 45 ha of deep Garonne gravel, well-drained, on sandy and stony gravel soils. The grape varieties are typically Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon (~60%), Merlot (~35%), complemented by Petit Verdot (~5%), for a structured, balanced, and expressive wine.

Philosophy & winemaking

Sustainable viticulture: controlled grassing, soil work, moderate yields. Manual or mechanical harvesting depending on the vintage, with sorting, then separate vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Aging for 12 to 14 months in French barrels (≈ 40% new), to bring roundness, silky tannins, and aromatic subtlety.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château Larose Trintaudon (Grand Vin): dark garnet color, aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cedar, and fine spices. Round palate, velvety tannins, beautiful saline length, and Médoc freshness.

  • La Roseraie de Larose Trintaudon: a fruity and accessible second wine, ready to drink in its youth, expressing the freshness and charm of the terroir.
