A pioneer of biodynamics driven by the vision of the Amoreau sisters
Château Guiraud, a jewel ranked 1st in the 1855 classification, is led by Sylvaine and Sophie Amoreau, sisters committed since 2011. Accompanied by Thomas Meslier, manager, and Magali Ammoun, oenologist, they uphold a viticultural ethic that is resolutely sustainable and of high standard.

Terroir & grape varieties: supportive finesse and biodiversity
The 128 ha of vineyards are planted on complex soils of gravel, sand, and clay, complemented by areas of natural biodiversity. The classic grape varieties (Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle) were among the first to transition to organic farming (2002) and then biodynamic farming (2011).

Viticulture & philosophy: holistic balance and precision
The estate practices certified biodynamic viticulture, promoting soil life, diversity, and controlled yields. Manual harvesting in successive selections, to choose only perfectly botrytized berries.

Vinification & aging: finesse and rigor in barrels
Fermentation and aging (18 to 20 months) in French barrels (80% new), with prolonged aging on fine lees. The parcel-based cuvées (Aux Claires Vignes, Le Haut Marbuzet…) offer a precise and expressive aromatic palette.

Iconic cuvées
Château Guiraud (Grand Vin): noble and elegant, aromas of honey, candied citrus, ginger, soft texture, and saline finish.
Aux Claires Vignes: bright parcel expression, fresh citrus, and pronounced saline tension.
Le Haut Marbuzet: complex and exotic, ripe yellow fruits, peach, apricot, rich amplitude, and sustained acidity.
