Château Clos Saint‑Martin is a family estate rooted in Saint‑Étienne‑de‑Lisse, east of Saint‑Émilion. For several generations, the family has upheld a demanding vision: to express the purity of the fruit, the typicity of the limestone terroir, and to offer a wine that is both elegant, subtle, and of great balance.

Terroir & grape varieties: the magic of limestone
The 11-hectare vineyard is planted on a soil of sands and sandy-clay gravel resting on a limestone base. This geology ensures perfect water drainage, guaranteeing a slow, concentrated, and regular ripening of the grape. The grape variety is typically Saint‑Émilion: 90% Merlot for roundness and depth, 10% Cabernet Franc for finesse and tension, with environmentally respectful management.

Viticulture & vinification: parcel precision
Each parcel is hand-harvested and rigorously sorted. Vinification is conducted parcel by parcel, in stainless steel vats with delicate pump-overs and macerations of 3 to 4 weeks under thermal control. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in barrels, to enhance structure and aromatic complexity.

Aging & style: balance and elegance
Aging lasts about 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, to bring power while preserving the delicacy of the fruit. The style offers great aromatic precision, silky tannins, a subtle saline finish, and a confirmed aging potential.
