Fratelli Tedeschi — Valpolicella’s Legacy of Exceptional Cru Wines

History & Terroir
Founded in 1630 in Pedemonte di Valpolicella (Verona province), Fratelli Tedeschi remains a family-run estate. Led by patriarch Lorenzo and his children Antonietta, Sabrina, and Riccardo, the winery blends 400 years of tradition with modern viticultural vision.

Vineyard & Grape Varieties
The estate spans approximately 46–48 hectares across Valpolicella’s classic hills, including parcels like Monte Olmi, La Fabriseria, Maternigo, and Lucchine. Soils of clay and limestone marl, combined with favorable elevations, yield concentrated, aromatic fruit.

Winemaking Philosophy
In the 1960s, the family pioneered one of the first single-vineyard crus by separately vinifying grapes from Monte Olmi. Ever since, Tedeschi has combined respectful modern technique—advanced fermentation, careful vineyard management, and terroir-driven practices—with its rich heritage.

Wine Style
Wines are known for their fusion of power, elegance, and terroir authenticity. Each cru displays distinct aromatic profiles, balanced structure, and refreshing clarity that express the identity of its vineyard.

Signature Wines

  • Amarone Capitel Monte Olmi — an intensely structured wine from the historic cru, with refined tannins.

  • Valpolicella Superiore La Fabriseria — elegant and aromatic, from a prized vineyard.

  • Amarone Maternigo — deep, complex, and expressive of modern terroir nuance.

  • Others — bottlings from Lucchine, Fabriseria, Maternigo, plus the classic Valpolicella, Ripasso, and Recioto range.
