An exceptional papal heritage

In 1305, Bertrand de Goth, who became Pope Clement V, inherited the vineyard that would henceforth bear his name. This historical link between spirituality and viticulture gives the château a unique aura, reinforced by centuries of excellence.

An ideally exposed gravel terroir

The vineyard extends over Pyrenean gravel mounds resting on a clay-limestone subsoil, perfect for the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon. Located in Pessac, at the gates of Bordeaux, this exceptional terroir gives birth to deep, balanced, and luminous wines.

The style of Pape Clément is immediately recognizable: controlled power, velvety texture, brilliance of black fruit, floral and mineral complexity, and sumptuous aging that respects balance.
