Domaine Dujac – Emblem of Pinot Noir in Côte de Nuits
A family dynasty since 1967
Founded by Jacques Seysses, later taken over by his son Jeremy Dujac, the estate is distinguished by a modern and meticulous approach to Pinot Noir. It is now managed by Jeremy, with the support of his wife Gaia and the third generation in training.
Prestigious and open climates
Dujac owns renowned plots in Morey-Saint-Denis (Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Clos de la Bussière), Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, and some Premier Crus of Gevrey. The estate practices long pruning to balance the vine and limit yield.
Respectful viticulture and manual harvesting
The cultivation methods are respectful of the soils — minimal work, controlled grassing, little differentiation between organic and conventional. The bunches are sorted at two levels in the vineyard, before harvest, and in the cellar to ensure optimal quality.
Parcel-based vinification and precise aging
Each climate is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks or open vats. The macerations are long, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and punch-downs applied according to the cuvée. Aging lasts from 16 to 20 months in oak barrels (35 to 60% new wood), depending on the climate.
Signature style: finesse, purity, and complexity
Dujac wines are characterized by a racy elegance, with notes of bright red fruits, delicate spices, floral notes, and undergrowth. The grand crus offer a refined structure, vibrant energy, and an aging potential of 20 to 30 years.
Remarkable cuvées:
Clos de la Roche Grand Cru: structured, intense, silky tannins
Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru: subtle charm, floral nuances
Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru: finesse, fruit, and elegance
Vosne-Romanée: velvety, complex, long finish
Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Evocelles”: depth and terroir anchoring
