A legendary estate nestled between sky, sea, and fire

Azienda Agricola Palari is a true Sicilian gem, located a few kilometers from Messina, in the northeast of the island, at the heart of the Faro DOC appellation. Passionately restored in the 1990s by Salvatore Geraci, this estate embodies the revival of a forgotten terroir, suspended between the sea spray of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the volcanic slopes of Etna.

A vertiginous and ancestral terroir

Here, the vines cling to steep slopes, between 500 and 700 meters above sea level, on complex soils composed of sands, limestones, and volcanic ash. The climate, strongly influenced by the sea, offers beneficial thermal amplitudes, ideal for achieving a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes.

Philosophy and winemaking: the soul of Faro

Salvatore Geraci is a craftsman of taste, an aesthete of detail. He works against the tide of standardization, with a total commitment to the expression of the terroir and native grape varieties. Yields are low, harvesting is manual, and winemaking is gentle, with prolonged aging in French oak barrels, followed by long bottle aging.

An inimitable style

The wines of Palari are of rare elegance, combining aromatic finesse, mineral complexity, and Mediterranean depth. Like a great Burgundy projected onto a land of fire, the cuvées reveal notes of black cherry, dried rose, wild herbs, spices, and warm stone.

Iconic cuvées

  • Faro DOC: The flagship wine of the estate, produced from a subtle blend of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Nocera, and other ancient varieties. A true Sicilian lace, capable of aging gracefully.

  • Rosso del Soprano: More accessible in its youth, this cuvée is vinified in a similar spirit, with the same rigor and quest for emotion.

  • Santa Né (in micro-cuvée): The ultimate expression of the estate, produced only in great years – a rarity destined for collectors.

Why choose Palari wines?

Because they embody a noble Sicily, against clichés. Because they are rare, sought after, and shine on the greatest tables. Because they offer the emotion of a wine of place, of author, of memory.
