Elegant freshness, fruity expression, and careful balance

Located on approximately 15 ha of Garonne gravel, Château Saint-Lô produces red wines with a chiseled structure and delicate aromatics. Under the direction of a passionate oenological team, the estate implements practices that respect the terroir and attentive winemaking.

Terroir & Grape Varieties

  • Soils: gravel on clay, all on a limestone subsoil, with optimal drainage.

  • Plantations of about 7,500 vines/ha.

  • Grape varieties: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.

Viticulture & Aging

  • Sustainable viticulture, manual harvesting, selective sorting in the vineyard and winery.

  • Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, controlled extractions.

  • Aging for 12 to 14 months in French barrels (≈ 40% new), to combine structure and finesse.

Style & Signature Wines

Château Saint-Lô (Grand Vin): ruby color, nose of blackcurrant, black cherry, slightly spicy. Supple palate, well-coated tannins, saline freshness, and elegant finish. Recommended aging of 5 to 12 years.
Saint-Lô Cuvée Traditionnelle: second wine with a more immediate style, fruity and convivial, to be consumed within 3 to 5 years.
