A domain revitalized under the leadership of the Siaud family, driven by expert precision
Château Grand Mayne, formerly known as Grand Mayne-Sothys, is now in the hands of Lionel Siaud and his wife Coraline, who manage the viticulture and marketing aspects. They collaborate with Christophe Lecomte, technical director, and consulting oenologist Nicolas Audebert, to restore the terroir's pure and authentic expression.

Terroir & grape varieties: limestone, clay, and plateau expression
The 15 ha vineyard is located on a limestone subsoil mixed with clay on the right bank. The grape composition is dominated by Merlot (~85%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (~15%), to provide the structure and finesse typical of Saint-Émilion.

Viticulture & philosophy: plot-based, balance, sustainability
The estate is managed with sustainable viticulture, with rigorous plot selection, selective grassing between rows, and manual harvesting. The approach aims to reveal the typicity of each terroir and minimize inputs, with a focus on quality and sustainability.

Vinification & aging: precision, elegance, and controlled oak
Separate vinifications by plot, in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, with macerations of 3 to 4 weeks. Aging for 16 to 18 months in French barrels (≈ 40% new), to refine the tannins while preserving freshness and aromatic tension.

Iconic cuvées
Château Grand Mayne (Grand Vin): deep color, generous nose of dark fruits, smoky nuances, sweet spices. The palate is dense, structured, with elegant tannins and a mouthwatering finish.
Angèle de Grand Mayne (second wine): more fruity, accessible from a young age, combining freshness and roundness, true to the plateau's identity.
